Postponement of Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance March 29 Fundraiser
Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19)
The health and well-being of our senior community is the top priority for the Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance. Local, national, and global public health organizations have been strengthening recommendations daily to limit the risk of transmission of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Seniors are particularly at risk and one way to mitigate risk is to avoid exposure to the virus. Accordingly, we are postponing our 4th Annual “2020 Vision for Healthy Aging” fundraiser that had been set for March 29 in Davis. We are hoping to reschedule this event in the fall.
Tickets and sponsorships for our March 29 event will be honored at the rescheduled event, and we will continue to make tickets and sponsorship information available on our website https://www.yolohealthyaging.org/annual-fundraiser-1 Proceeds from the event will be used to meet the YHAA mission of promoting the well-being of older adults in Yolo County through education, collaboration, and advocacy.
The Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance encourages all seniors in our community to stay informed about COVID-19 by regularly checking the updates from our local county public health agency www.yolocounty.org/coronavirus and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html. We will also post information on how older adults and caregivers can stay healthy on our website at www.yolohealthyaging.org.
We are grateful to community members, and our sponsors and donors throughout Yolo County for their tremendous support for older adults. We look forward to celebrating at our rescheduled annual fundraiser in the fall.
