Support Healthy Aging: Help Us Continue Our Community Impact!

Updated: May 21

*Update: Big Day of Giving may be over, but if you still feel inspired to give, you can do so year round at YoloHealthyAging.org/Donate.

It is time to make a difference in our community and support healthy aging! Today, May 2, is Big Day of Giving: our region’s annual giving challenge.

Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance is the unified voice for older adults in Yolo County. Not only do we provide direct services for older adults, but we also provide advocacy and bring organizations together to collaborate and better connect older adults to the services they need. We take pride in our unique, well-rounded approach to providing for our seniors, and, with your support during Big Day of Giving, we will grow our impact in this community.

YHAA volunteer, Mark, and previous ED, Sheila Allen, help install a ramp for a community member, who was previously unable to leave her house.

This community member was unable to leave her house independently until YHAA’s amazing volunteer, Mark, installed a ramp in front of her house. Tearful with gratitude, she entered the sunshine with a newfound vigor for life. These stories are what makes serving the community so rewarding, and with your contribution, we can help more community members rediscover their freedom, independence, and dignity.

A donation of $200 will install up to two grab bars in an older and/or disabled adult's home, allowing them to, like the community member above, gain the freedom and independence to age safely in their own home. How many grab bars can you help us install? Donate now through midnight on May 2, and your donation will be doubled, with matching funds dedicated to installing grab bars!

"Thank you a million times. Thanks to you, I could shower with total ease, confidence, and safety this morning. What a difference. I had not even realized to what extent I had adjusted little by little to an unsafe situation." - Grab Bar Recipient

Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance’s BDOG goal is to raise $10,000 and engage at least 20 new donors. We are aiming to boost your gifts by winning a prize challenge (or two!) as well! Here's how you can help us reach these goals:

1.) Make a gift at https://www.bigdayofgiving.org/YoloHealthyAging. Checks payable to Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance, 600 A St. Suite C, Davis, CA, 95616

Thank you so much for your generosity. We love our kind, supportive community, and we could not serve our community without you.
