Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance is proud to recognize Dawn Myers as our 2022 volunteer of the year! Dawn was a founding member of the Board of Directors having served since the very beginning in 2010. She can always be depended on to step forward when help is needed, to provide thoughtful input on policy and programs, and to find many ways to support our mission.
Dawn is not only a board member but serves on many committee and task forces. One very successful one was to address the identified need for an adult day program in Davis. She brought together a dream team to articulate the need in the community, find a location and organization and see the planning through to the opening of Galileo Place at Yolo Cares.
Most importantly, she has serves as the Program Director at Dignity Health’s Yolo Adult Day Health Center in Woodland since 1996 and is an industry advocate and leader sitting on multiple advisory committees over her many years in the field. Dawn was instrumental in saving the Adult Day Health program statewide two times through statewide advocacy!
Dawn has positively impacted so many lives in Yolo County. We are proud to recognize her at the Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance volunteer of the year.
