Meals on Wheels of Yolo County

Meals on Wheels of Yolo County provides nourishing meals and important social contact to eligible seniors.  ENP provides meals Monday through Friday to the elderly through two primary programs: Congregate Meals and Home Delivered Meals. Congregate meals are served at the community or senior centers of Davis, West Sacramento, Winters and Woodland.  Home Delivered Meals are delivered to home-bound adults only.  Donations are appreciated.

CalFresh (Food Stamps)

The CalFresh Program, federally known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), can add to your food budget to put healthy and nutritious food on the table. The program issues monthly electronic benefits that can be used to buy most foods at many markets and food stores. Visit website or contact offices for more information and application.

Davis Community Meals

Davis Community Meals offers a free meal on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and lunch on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Participants often include seniors, low-income and homeless individuals, and families. Everyone is welcome. The meals are prepared and served at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, located at 640 Hawthorn Lane, Davis, CA 95616.

Yolo County Children’s Alliance

Our Community Resource Specialists are trained to provide application assistance for the following programs: CalFresh (formerly Food Stamps), Covered California and MediCal. Individuals who receive SSI/SSP are not eligible for CalFresh but Social Security retirement benefits are OK. Yolo County Children’s Alliance extends services to Yolo residents of all ages and all services are free of charge.

Fourth & Hope (Yolo Wayfarer Center)

Fourth and Hope’s mission is to change lives; to provide a continuum of care for the hungry and homeless moving them from the street to stability in Woodland and Yolo County. They provide meals, shelter, rehabilitation, job training and, most importantly, what’s often a last chance for a real, sustainable life. They are a community safety net – and are in the business of helping people rescue themselves.
